The DHM is Online!

To help the Dearborn and SE Michigan community stay safe and healthy during the COVID-19 outbreak, the Dearborn Historical Museum will remain closed until further notice.

While the Museum may be closed to the public in this challenging time, we are hard at work bringing our historical resources online and encourage you to browse our offerings for adults and children alike.

Listed below are some of our digital programs and resources. We will keep this page regularly updated with information on the closure as well as our updates, so please visit us regularly at http://www.thedhm.com to see what’s new!

The Dearborn Historian

In September, we were honored to receive a prestigious State History Award for the Museum’s quarterly publication, The Dearborn Historian, which has chronicled stories from Dearborn’s past since 1961.

While The Dearborn Historian is usually reserved for members of the Dearborn Historical Museum, we will be making the Museum’s archive of online Historian issues free during the present Museum closure. The archive of more than 100 issues spanning 59 years of Dearborn history can be found at https://thedhm.com/dearborn-historian/ and while we have not yet digitized every issue of The Historian in existence, we are always adding more. If you like reading The Historian and would like to subscribe to new issues, contact Museum@ci.dearborn.mi.us about registering for a Museum membership.
